Drone Attack in Adygea Injures Multiple, Emergency Declared

On the night of January 21, a total of 43 drones were shot down over Krasnodar Krai and the sea, but Adygea was not mentioned in the Ministry of Defense report. During the attack, residents of Krasnodar and the neighboring republic heard three powerful explosions, after which a fire broke out.

Later, the republic«s authorities reported a »drone strike« in the village of Novaya Adygea. Apartment buildings were damaged, at least 15 cars burned, and dozens more had their windows blown out. A state of emergency was declared in the Takhtamukay District, and people were placed in a temporary accommodation center. Early in the morning, dozens of security forces and onlookers from among local residents gathered around the damaged cars and houses. Fortunately, many of their homes were not damaged, so they just came to see the aftermath. People shared their impressions and discussed what had happened.
Head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov arrived at the scene and inspected the multi-story building damaged in the attack and the surrounding area. According to him, 27 people, including a child, are currently in the temporary accommodation center.
According to updated information, 13 people were injured, 9 of whom were hospitalized. Two were transferred to Krasnodar, and two are in intensive care in stable condition, with no threat to their lives.
