A bus carrying children broke down on the Chelyabinsk–Troitsk highway while on its way to a competition. The passengers were athletes heading to Yuzhnouralsk for an MMA tournament. This was reported by the regional traffic police on Saturday, January 31.

«The PAZ suddenly broke down. The cause was brake failure, which made further movement impossible and unsafe,» said the traffic police. «Upon receiving the information, traffic police officers immediately went to the scene.»
Another bus eventually arrived for the children. The regional MMA federation assured that it all took literally 15 minutes.
«The children are all fine. We resolved the issue ourselves and called for a reserve bus,» the press service reported.
In Yuzhnouralsk this weekend, the Chelyabinsk Oblast championship and tournament in mixed martial arts (MMA) are taking place. The competitions feature athletes aged 16 to 20, with separate scoring for men.
