Boy who ran away from home found in Tyumen

On the evening of January 25, an 11-year-old boy named Yegor (name changed) left his home in Tyumen and stopped responding to calls. Initial searches in the vicinity and in the Tyumen Sloboda area yielded no results.

On social media, city residents began spreading information about the disappearance. One appeal stated: «The boy left home partially dressed. He might enter your house in Tyumen Sloboda. If anyone sees him, report immediately to the police.»
According to the press service of the Tyumen Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (UMVD), the boy«s mother reported his disappearance around ten o»clock in the evening. Two hours later, the child was found on the roof of a bathhouse in the Moskovsky Trakt area.
«The child was found and handed over to his legal representative (mother). According to preliminary data, no unlawful actions were committed against him,» the police reported.
As it turned out, the boy headed to the bathhouse around nine o«clock in the evening, intending to run away from home. Later, he explained that he was offended at his mother after a quarrel over a minor misdeed.
Police officers and volunteers were involved in the search operations. The absence of a mobile phone complicated the operation, and his short height — 124 centimeters (about 4 feet 1 inch) — could have misled witnesses.
