Two people died in a fire in a high-rise building in Kuntsovo.

On the night of January 26, a fire broke out in a residential building on Moldavskaya Street in west Moscow. The preliminary cause was «careless handling of fire,» according to the city prosecutor«s office. Two men, aged 70 and 68, died in the fire.
In photos published by the agency, dark plumes of smoke can be seen rising from a second-floor apartment. Soot marks remained on the facade of the high-rise. Inside the apartment, the fire destroyed furniture.
«The preliminary cause of the fire is careless handling of fire. Exact conclusions will be drawn based on the results of a fire-technical examination. The progress and results of the procedural check being conducted on this matter are under the control of the Kuntsovo interdistrict prosecutor»s office,« the agency»s statement said.
Earlier, MSK1.RU reported on a fire in the Moscow region town of Lyubertsy, where a private two-story house in the «Zelenaya Zona» horticultural non-commercial partnership caught fire.
