Construction of the building for a future private maternity hospital continues in Chita, gynecologist Marina Mochalova reported on 3 February on her Telegram channel.

Mochalova had written about the progress of the private maternity hospital construction in the summer of 2025. That information was not confirmed at the time by either the Ministry of Health of Zabaykalsky Krai (Минздрав) or the potential builder.

«Today I drove past the future private maternity hospital on Tchaikovsky Street. Work has been in full swing all winter: exterior and interior finishing is visible. Let me remind you that two new elevators have already been installed in this building, although there were none before. Well done!» the doctor wrote.

Minister of Health of Zabaykalsky Krai Oksana Nemakina told a correspondent of Chita.Ru that no applications for a license for a private maternity hospital have been received yet.

Earlier, sources reported that the private maternity hospital in the building at 13 Tchaikovsky Street in Chita, which houses the city administration archive, would be opened by the Medlyuks network of multidisciplinary medical centers. An IVF department is allegedly planned there.

On 4 February, Medlyuks again refused to comment on information about its involvement in the construction.

Minister of Health of Zabaykalsky Krai Oksana Nemakina, in the «Redkollegiya» from 23 May 2025, said that no license applications for a private maternity hospital have been received yet, while the head of the Ministry noted that she has a negative attitude toward the emergence of a private maternity hospital in the city, as it could affect infant and maternal mortality.
