Amir Biktimirov begins stem cell therapy for epilepsy

Severe medical conditions prevent the toddler from living a full life and developing normally.
Amir Biktimirov from Khanty-Mansiysk is currently undergoing treatment at a private clinic in Moscow, for which his family raised funds. The boy suffers from encephalopathy, West syndrome, and Klinefelter syndrome. The diagnoses prevent him from living and developing fully. Amir is scheduled to undergo a stem cell transplantation procedure. This was reported by the boy«s mother, Guzel Biktimirova.
Well-wishers send hopes for Amir«s swift recovery from his stem cell treatment.
«We are at the clinic. Ahead are 12 days of rehabilitation — difficult, important, very responsible. The program includes stem cells. We go on this path with hope, cautious optimism, and great faith. Honestly, until recently this seemed something distant and almost impossible. But now we are here. And it happened not only thanks to us,» — Guzel wrote on social media.
She thanked everyone who took part in the fundraising. Reposts, warm messages, and words of support also became significant for the Biktimirov family. Most of the sum has already been raised; the parents paid for tickets to Moscow and stay at the clinic. However, the fundraiser is not yet closed.

Earlier, we told the story of the family in more detail, a family that is raising a special child — three-year-old Amir. Thanks to parental support and rehabilitation, the toddler learned to hold his head and sit with support. To consolidate the successes and learn new skills, treatment could not be interrupted, so the parents opened a fundraiser for 1.2 million rubles (approximately $12,600 at current rates).
