Voronezh mother of three undocumented for 28 years

On 6 November, the federal channel NTV in the program «DNA» (16+) told the story of Vera Danchenko, who turned to journalists for help to restore her biography. According to Vera, she is essentially nobody — as a citizen she does not exist: she has not a single document certifying her identity. The young woman«s childhood was in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region. Vera says that after birth, her mother “gave” her to another woman, and there she was on the rights of a dependant — they fed her water with flour diluted in it. And, she says, she doesn»t know when her birthday is, and in general, that she is really called Vera is not certain.

When the girl grew up, her paternal grandmother found her and took her in. Soon, what seemed to be her father — Pyotr Danchenko — also appeared. He said on air that Vera«s mother is called Larisa, they lived together for 10 years, but she went astray, had problems with the law — and they separated. Pyotr and Larisa have four official children — but they grew up in orphanages and guardian families. When Larisa gave birth to Vera, he was allegedly on a business trip, and he is not sure that she is his biological daughter, but when his mother took the girl in — he accepted and loved her. At the same time, he says that Vera had a birth certificate, but he does not know his daughter»s date of birth, and allegedly the document was stolen.

Despite the strangeness of these high relations and a lot of questions about them, poor Vera had access to the internet in her childhood: on social networks she met a guy — from Voronezh region. And at around 15 years old, she ran away to him. Since then, they have had three children — the eldest daughter will soon be 11 years old, the middle one is now nine, the youngest son is six. Vera says that the children have birth certificates, but no citizenship and registration. Accordingly — no medical insurance policies. Allegedly, she sent the eldest daughter to school, the girl attended for a short time, after which the teachers said to take the child away and not bring her back until the documents are processed. She teaches the daughters to read and write, although she is also self-taught.

“When the eldest daughter was born, I went to the registry office in Liski. To make a request,” Vera said on NTV. “But they refused to make the request, because there are no documents, no certificate.”

Vera«s husband now provides for the whole family, she works part-time in neighbors» gardens in the summer. Judging by the setting, they live in a private house, and quite well — the children have sweets and fruits, a full wardrobe of clothes, and Vera herself has jewelry.

On the program on TV channel NTV, besides Vera and what seems to be her father — Pyotr Danchenko, two of his biological children — a son and a daughter — also came. All three said that they were not sure that Vera is their relative, however a DNA test confirmed blood relation at 99.9%. After the broadcast, the sensational story was told by the Telegram channel Mash. The government of Voronezh region responded to the story:

“The regional registry office management reported that based on the data spread in TG channels, it is not possible to identify the person. The woman did not apply for a personal appointment with the head of the Voronezh region registry office.”

Now officials are trying to find the heroine of the soap saga and advise her to make herself known to the regional registry office management. It is closer than the studio of the federal show.
