Deputies in Tolyatti discussed the improvement of two of the most popular public spaces in the Komsomolsky District. The discussion was prompted by a report from the head of the Department of Urban Economy, Stanislav Meleshko.

«At the moment, the culture and recreation park is under routine maintenance: snow is cleared in winter, trash is collected in summer, and necessary facilities are operational. However, plans for the capital development of this area for the next three years (2026-2028) are not included in the budget,» reported a representative of the city administration.

The deputies found this approach insufficient. They pointed out that the city has a tool to attract additional funds — the program for forming a comfortable urban environment.

«Bringing order to the shoreline reinforcement zone should be a logical continuation of the capital repair of the embankment. To do this, we need to secure the support of residents. Winning the public vote will open access to funding from higher-level budgets,» noted the parliamentarians.

A project to improve the embankment itself is already developing according to this scenario. In 2026, work is planned there based on the results of the previous vote: an updated promenade alley will appear with recreation areas, new benches, lanterns, modern pavement, and additional green plantings.

Thus, the fate of the popular recreation area will depend on the activity and choice of Tolyatti residents themselves in the upcoming city-wide vote.

Sometimes Tolyatti residents take on improvement projects themselves and do everything with their own hands. This happened in the Avtozavodsky District, where an enthusiast took on decorating flower beds.
