Saratov administration plans private house buyouts for demolition

The Saratov administration will allocate almost 30 million rubles (about $333,000 at current rates) to prepare real estate in the bus station area for demolition. The corresponding budget changes were adopted by city council deputies.
Alexander Strukov, chairman of the finance committee, presented the draft budget amendments. According to him, funding for a number of areas is planned to be allocated from the local budget. For example, officials want to spend 65 million rubles (approximately $722,000) on paying court decisions and loans, 5 million rubles (about $55,600) on renovating the «Crying Stone» fountain, 15 million rubles (around $166,700) on improvement works, and so on.
The total budget revenue is estimated at almost 41 billion rubles (about $455.6 million), while expenditures are 43 billion rubles (approximately $477.8 million). Strukov specified that 28.1 million rubles (roughly $312,200) will be directed for the appraisal, as well as formalization and buyout of real estate objects in the bus station area. Officials will work with the owners of private houses on Moskovskaya and Posadskogo streets.
