«Today I walked around the locations where you can find the Samara robot. I supplemented the bas-reliefs with my own compositions so they wouldn«t be bored,» Denis Vertigo said.

Vertigo hopes the robots will become friends with the new princess figures.

Vertigo also noted a sad trend.

The artist«s compositions create a new visual dialogue with the existing sculptures.

«Unfortunately, I discovered that two robot locations have been vandalized: the plaques were removed or stolen at the entrance to the metro near the Heroes of the 21st Army Square, and at the «Rostelecom» building on Michurina Street. It«s sad to realize that Samara is still not accustomed to street art in the form of bas-reliefs and public art objects! If even welded-down »shishigi-letuny« (folkloric flying creatures) are being stolen—that»s terrible!» the artist stated.

Earlier, we reported on the scandal surrounding the «shishigi-letuny» project: in 2024, 27 bronze figurines of these fairy-tale creatures were installed in Samara. However, activists from the «Russian Community» and State Duma deputy Mikhail Matveev demanded their removal, claiming that a shishiga in Slavic folklore is an evil spirit and a «devil in the form of a flying man.» Historians and philologists came to the defense of the project.
