Plans are underway to gather thousands of people to hold hands at the Sukhotino Ethno-Archaeopark in order to set a Russian record. This was announced by acting Minister of Science and Professional Education of Zabaykalsky Krai Natalia Vikulova in the latest issue of the «Redkollegia» project.

Natalia Vikulova, the first director and author of the idea for the Sukhotino Ethno-Archaeopark established in 2023, became acting minister of science and professional education on August 14, 2025, after the Ministry of Education and Science was split into two agencies as part of forming a new government following the June resignation of the incumbent.

«We dream of entering the Book of Records of Russia. We want people to hold hands at one moment on the trail. To gather 16,000 people for this. They can be local residents, students. Whoever wants to be there. We are preparing for this. In summer, in June. I hope this summer. We will make every effort to make it happen. We»ll take an overall shot from above; the main thing is that no one steals the idea,« shared Vikulova.

It was previously reported that the Sukhotino Ethno-Archaeopark has ambitious development plans. A 15.6-kilometer circular eco-trail has already begun construction on Titovskaya Sopka, and the construction of a cable car is also under discussion. The park is planned to be included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites in Russia. Additionally, an ethno-village will be created on Titovskaya Sopka in the near future, which will include clusters of an Evenki settlement, Buryat and Semeiskie (Old Believer) villages, with trails and a unified connecting path around the entire Titovskaya Sopka.
