In the city, the air will warm to −10…−12 degrees Celsius (14…10°F), in Leningrad Oblast — to −9…−14 degrees Celsius (16…7°F). The wind will be southwestern at 2–7 meters per second. Atmospheric pressure will drop to 758 millimeters of mercury, which is slightly below normal.

In Moscow, the weather will be determined by the ridge of an anticyclone moving southeast. The sky will be covered with thin clouds, occasional light snow is possible, and the frost will gradually weaken. During the day in the capital, −10…−12 degrees Celsius (14…10°F) are expected.

Last night in Moscow was the coldest since the beginning of winter. At the base weather station VDNKh, the temperature dropped to -18.5 degrees Celsius (-1°F). In Tushino, up to -21 degrees Celsius (-6°F) was recorded, and in New Moscow, for example in Mikhailovsky, up to -27.6 degrees Celsius (-18°F).
