Budget Details Yakutsk Mayor's 2026 Maintenance Costs

The maintenance of Yakutsk Mayor Evgeny Grigoriev will cost the city budget 7.1 million rubles (approximately $71,000 at current rates) in 2026. In 2025, 6.7 million rubles (about $67,000) were allocated for the mayor«s operations. This is reported in the city budget for 2026, published on the administration»s website.
Per month, 591.6 thousand rubles (around $5,900) are spent: this amount includes the mayor«s salary, office maintenance, business trips, official transport, communication, ceremonial events, and other needs.
Evgeny Grigoriev took office in 2021, and his term ends this year. A new mayor will be chosen under a new procedure—without direct voter elections. Candidates will be proposed by the head of the republic, and city council deputies will select from them, as amendments adopted by the State Assembly Il Tumen (the parliament of the Sakha Republic) on December 23.
This year, the republic will determine the new leaders for Yakutsk, five municipal districts, and 39 settlements.
