In Stavropol, tomatoes hit 253 rubles per kg

We regularly see price changes for various goods in stores. Unfortunately, they often rise quickly. This time, tomatoes have taken the lead. More details were provided by Severo-Kavkazstat (the North Caucasus statistics office).

Specialists have again shared the results of weekly monitoring of product prices. It turned out that some vegetables and fruits have become more expensive. Thus, fresh tomatoes have increased in price by 7.32% and now average 252.73 rubles per kilogram (about $3 at current rates).

Also included in the list are:

  • margarine (+6.12%) — 312.98 rubles (about $3);

  • boiled sausage (+3.99%) — 594.57 rubles (about $7);

  • white cabbage (+3.48%) — 35.37 rubles (about $0);

  • carrots (+2.97%) — 39.91 rubles (about $0);

  • sausages and frankfurters (+2.7%) — 551.52 rubles (about $6);

  • fresh cucumbers (+2.37%) — 297.49 rubles (about $3);

  • semi-smoked and cooked-smoked sausage (+2.33%) — 706.7 rubles (about $8).

Without price reductions, we move to another list of products. The cost of bananas decreased the most. They have become cheaper by 4.63% and now average 165.25 rubles per kilogram (about $2).

Also worth noting are other products:

  • pasta made from wheat flour (-3.71%) — 123.94 rubles (about $1);

  • meat-based baby food (-3.05%) — 1196.77 rubles (about $13);

  • vegetable-based baby food (-2.72%) — 802.73 rubles (about $9);

  • vermicelli (-2.24%) — 120.56 rubles (about $1);

  • salt (-1.33%) — 22.13 rubles (about $0);

  • onion (-1.05%) — 46.85 rubles (about $1).

But in the region, not only food products are becoming more expensive, but also medicines. Medications have soared in price by an average of 10% over the year.
