When it comes to ski holidays in Europe, Serbia is rarely a priority. And that«s a shame. Our correspondent went to the country»s main ski resort, Kopaonik, to find out why it«s increasingly talked about as an alternative to the Alps, and recorded an honest video report for you.

The journey began with a challenge. The road from Montenegro turned into an 8-hour quest: downpours, flooding, dark mountain serpentines, and an uncleared ascent to the resort itself, where even all-wheel-drive vehicles got stuck. «It was a moment when I sincerely regretted my idea,» shares the reporter.
But everything changed as soon as she reached the top. Kopaonik greeted her not with a modest village, but with a full-fledged resort town with dozens of hotels, restaurants, spas, and lively life. The contrast was striking.
Many families with children and sports schools – a good sign for those just learning to ski. The resort has about 55 kilometers of slopes, over 25 lifts, and trails of all difficulty levels.
There are queues, but even during the New Year holidays, they remain moderate. And the prices were pleasantly surprising.
