On 3 February, Olga Buzova arrived in Chelyabinsk to present her debut feature-length comedy «Ravioli Oli» (age rating 16+). At a press meeting, the artist shared her impressions of the city and spoke about her new project.
Buzova decisively disputed the widespread notion of Chelyabinsk as a harsh place. «The city is gloomy, but the people are fantastically, incredibly kind. People who live by a code, people of their word, honor, and order,» she stated. According to her, Chelyabinsk has strong universities, which she visited as part of her project «Olga Vuzova» (a pun on «vuz» meaning university). The actress suggested that the gloominess might come from the many industrial enterprises, but that does not make Chelyabinsk harsh.
The film «Ravioli Oli» marks Buzova«s first serious foray onto the big screen. She plays a role close to her public image—a »stage and screen star.« The heroine dreams of marrying a successful German businessman who offers to invest in an abandoned dumpling shop. When the partner turns out to be a fraud, Olya goes to the village of Nizhniye Teplushki, where she finds her true calling. The film»s premiere is scheduled for 5 February. Buzova«s co-stars include Vladimir Yaglych, Marina Fedunkiv, Maxim Lagashkin, and Evelina Blyodans. The actress described the film as a light comedy: »In our time, when you have to think all the time, you want to go to the cinema, turn off your brain, and relax. We«ve done everything for you.»
