Neural network 'completes' castle on Zaton in Krasnodar – video

The neural network-generated video presents a fairy-tale vision of the long-abandoned Krasnodar castle.
On February 3, a video created using neural networks was shared on social networks – the authors showed what the famous Castle on Zaton in Krasnodar could look like if it had been turned into a children«s creativity center, as city authorities planned several years ago.
The actual building remains a concrete shell in Victory Park, with no completion plans in sight.
The video features a top-down view and a brief look at interior fragments. The concrete long-term construction appears as a bright, almost fairy-tale complex: lots of light, color, and a sense that it«s not an abandoned site but a vibrant urban facility.
Recall that the building is located in the 30th Anniversary of Victory Park. Construction began back in 2008: the site was conceived as the «Parkovy» cultural and entertainment center, but was never completed. The building«s readiness was estimated at about 68%.
In 2021, by court decision, the unfinished construction was purchased by the Krasnodar city hall for 130 million rubles (approximately $1.3 million at current rates). At that time, city authorities stated that demolishing the site would be expensive, and it would be more reasonable to adapt it for a center of additional education for children. However, things didn«t progress beyond surveys and discussions.
In 2024, it became known that the site was transferred for indefinite use to «Krasnodar Parks», and later experts concluded that completing the building was not feasible. At the beginning of 2026, the city hall once again confirmed that there is still no specific decision on the fate of the object.
