Charity Stand-Up, Baikal Bubbles, and Non-Standard Jewelry

This weekend, forecasters predict a warming trend — a welcome gift from February. So it«s worth leaving the house and finding some entertainment. For such an occasion, the editors of IrCity have prepared a poster for the next three days.
Friday evening, February 6, can be spent on the waves of music. At 18:30, the Philharmonic will host a concert by the Russian Musical Team (6+). It is timed to the 20th anniversary of the St. Petersburg House of Music. Together with the Governor«s Symphony Orchestra, soloists Vazgen Yusupov (clarinet), Polina Thai (cello), and Mikhail Usov (violin) will perform. Tickets cost 1,000 rubles ($11).
And at 19:00, the Voronezh musician ChipaChip (18+) will perform at the Territory Soprano Clan-Club. His tour «Adult» is dedicated to an 18-year creative journey. Tickets range from 2,200 to 4,200 rubles ($24 to $47).
Saturday, February 7, can start with a traditional run. In honor of Trust Day on Yunost Island, there will be a «5 Versts» run (6+). Participants must walk or run a distance in pairs, with one person blindfolded. Start at 9:00, participation free.
Alternatively, you can head to Bolshoye Goloustnoye (a village on Lake Baikal) that day. Paleopedologist and archaeology consultant Inga Vladimirovna Sterkhova will lead an excursion «Baikal Treasure Trove» (12+). Participants are offered an amazing journey: first to the Dry Lake, then to an ancient relict poplar grove, followed by an ascent of Mount Sagan-Khadan and a study of Baikal ice with bubbles. Another interesting event is being prepared by the Irkutsk Zoo, which will hold Hedgehog Day (0+) on Saturday. At 13:00, a hedgehog quiz begins, followed by a humorous hedgehog forecast for spring, and several master classes. Tickets cost 450 rubles ($5) for adults and 350 rubles ($4) for children under 13.
The Fire Center for Contemporary Art will host an unusual master class — creating accessories from recycled plastic (5+). It will be led by founders of the RECCAP project, Valeria Shafirova and Dmitry Temnikov. Under their guidance, participants will create letters from recycled plastic, which can then form a word to make a stylish accessory for a bag or jeans. You can bring plastic caps with type «2» for recycling. Start at 17:30. Tickets cost 200 rubles ($2).
At 18:30, the Baikal Ice Arena will host the «Baikal Mass Skate» (6+). Everyone can skate for an hour and a half. Entry costs 400 rubles ($4).
And at 19:00, the travel cafe «Mountains Call» will host a charity stand-up concert by Irkutsk comedians (18+). All proceeds will go to the animal shelter ANO «Bobik and Barbos.» Entry free, donations voluntary.
The Faculty of Physics of Irkutsk State University will hold a scientific program «Planet Earth» (6+) on February 7 and 8. Guests can visit four labs: volcanoes, rock weathering, colored lakes, and the Arctic and Antarctic. Start times at 11:00, 14:00, and 17:00. Tickets cost 2,200 rubles ($24) per child and parents.
Also on Sunday, February 8, you can visit the Exhibition of National Musical Instruments (6+), starting at 16:00 at the history department of the local history museum. Free entry.
At the Zagursky Musical Theatre at 19:00, the recognized virtuoso DiDuLya (6+) will perform. Tickets range from 2,000 to 5,500 rubles ($22 to $61).
