Tyumen residents reacted vividly to a college teacher«s opinion. The young woman shared how she prepares youth for work in schools and why novice teachers don»t stay there. Our readers have their own view on this. We«ve collected various comments in this article.

«I am a young teacher who left the school. And I will gladly watch the education system collapse. How parents will run to complain, how bad everything is with us, even though they themselves harassed teachers in chats. How their kids won»t be able to get into anywhere and will work for pennies in a grocery store. Keep it up, the end is near.«

«Inside every profession there are aces and slackers. But our society fundamentally does not understand and cannot decide on the concept and understanding of what good, quality education is; the criteria for evaluation are very blurred for people. But we see that without tutors, admission to good universities is inaccessible, and we see what kind of specialists come out of there. In general, there is a lot of bad. But the worst thing is that a poor, hungry teacher will never give proper knowledge. Expecting prosperity for the country and society from impoverished specialists is utopia.»

«Why can»t teachers unite into normal trade unions? Yes, because they simply don«t have time – to eat, to sleep. They have no time for a struggle with a dubious result. Because they are too dependent on the bosses – stick your neck out: 1) you»ll be left with a bare salary without incentives; 2) you«ll be given the most unbearable classes with »wonderful« children and their even more »wonderful« parents, who will quickly turn your life into a complete hell, and with the class»s results, you«ll become the »worst teacher of the year,« whom only the lazy won»t kick; 3) you«ll be awarded a schedule with a bunch of gaps from morning till evening, you»ll live at school, but earn less.«

«I became a tutor. And how much calmer life became in all respects. If by chance I get a student who doesn»t want to work in class, is rude – we part ways. No need to write any reports. Once a month I just write a message to parents about progress. Money started to be enough for everything necessary.«

«Teachers are really to be pitied. This is one of those few professions where you literally have to beg for your salary. First you have to endure this whole crowd of uncontrollable teenagers who have been convinced that they are always right in everything. Then you have to curry favor with the bosses – do a bunch of stupid errands on top of your direct duties. Sorry, but who else is ready to work so hard for 46,000 rubles ($511 at current rates)? Not many. Zoomers immediately run from the job, and only the downtrodden and burned-out teachers remain, who are trying to do something from their last strength.»

«Difficult children are half the trouble. When there are »petty tyrants« in managerial positions who think they have meek slaves under their command – that»s where the trouble is. How many teachers are on sedatives? I quit after six months of working at one new school. The last straw was not even the strange decision to cut my bonus specifically, but a conversation with the principal in a raised voice. Why does someone think they can yell at teachers if their salary is many times less? No, you know, it«s a nightmare. It»s especially painful to see pre-retirement age teachers quietly crying in their offices.«

Recall that a column by a teacher who trains future teachers at a pedagogical college caused a storm of emotions among Tyumen residents. Read about what non-obvious problems our heroine spoke about.

Previously we published the opinion of a young teacher who fled the school. Why couldn«t she take it?
