In 2027, a new tourism complex is planned in a natural area of Samara Oblast — an investor wants to build it on the right bank of the Volga. This was reported by TASS.
«The project was among the winners of a competition by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and will receive subsidies,» TASS writes, citing the Ministry of Tourism of Samara Oblast.
It concerns the creation of modular non-permanent buildings where tourists can stay.
«Three investment projects are planned for implementation in 2027 to create 59 rooms in modular non-permanent accommodation facilities in Samara, Novokuybyshevsk, and the Volzhsky District of Samara Oblast, with a total of 97.09 million rubles ($970,900 at current rates) from federal and regional budgets,» TASS clarifies.
The new tourism complex is planned to be built near already existing routes. It is expected that from the complex, tourists can reach attractions on the right bank of the Volga by bicycle, car, or water transport: the male and female monasteries near the village of Podgory, the manor of the Ushkov merchants in the village of Rozhdestveno, and the manor of the Orlov-Davydov counts in the village of Usolye.
Two other projects to increase the room stock are planned to be implemented at already operating popular tourist infrastructure facilities in Samara and Novokuybyshevsk.
In addition, two more investment projects in the tourism sector of Samara Oblast were included in the soft loan program following a competitive selection by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. These involve the construction of an aquathermal complex with an area of over 19,000 square meters in Tolyatti, with an investment volume of 1.65 billion rubles ($16.5 million at current rates), and the construction of a multi-purpose health and sports complex in the Stavropolsky District, with investments of 7.6 billion rubles ($76 million at current rates).
