Actor Roman Popov admitted in his last interview that he was not afraid of death
Colleagues and viewers are saying goodbye to actor Roman Popov, known for the series ‘Police Officer from Rublyovka’. He passed away after a recurrence of brain cancer. Journalist Karen Adamyan published an excerpt from last year«s interview with Roman.
In the conversation with the journalist, Roman openly spoke about his main fear. It wasn«t about the illness or death. The actor admitted that he was most afraid of not keeping up with life itself.
‘It«s scary not to have time. Dying is not scary,’ said Roman Popov a year before his death.

He had particular concerns for his children. Having lost his own father at a young age, Popov well understood the price of such an ordeal.
‘After me, my children will remain, whom I love endlessly and in whom I have endless confidence,’ said the actor. ‘But I want them to be ready for independence without me. Not like me, at 26 years old, when my father was gone.’
The farewell for Roman Popov will take place tomorrow, November 1, in Moscow. The ceremony will be held at the Central Clinical Hospital at 25 Timoshenko Street.
