A court has sentenced a woman from Yefremov to eight years in prison for drug-related offenses.

A court in Tula region has sentenced a 37-year-old woman from Yefremov for large-scale drug trafficking, the regional prosecutor«s office reported.
According to the investigation, in July 2025, the woman purchased 1.24 grams of narcotic substances for personal use and stored them in her apartment.
She later told her daughter and an acquaintance where the drugs were kept and allowed them to take several packets for consumption, after which police detained her.
The woman was convicted under charges of illegal drug sales on a large scale and possession without intent to sell, and will serve eight years in a general regime penal colony.
