Girl found dead in southeast Moscow apartment, acquaintance suspected

A strangled girl was found in an apartment in southeast Moscow, according to the capital«s Investigative Committee. Preliminary information indicates the fatal injuries were inflicted by an acquaintance. The Investigative Committee has launched a pre-investigation check into the murder under Article 105 of the Criminal Code.
Investigators and forensic experts are examining the scene on Sovkhoznaya Street. According to the Telegram channel «112», the deceased was 18 years old.
Earlier in the east of Moscow, one man beat another to death in a subway underpass. They had an argument, and the aggressor began beating the opponent with his hands and feet, then left. The incident occurred near Ploshchad Ilyicha station.
Prior to that, in the south of Moscow, a 46-year-old mother drowned her five-year-old son in a bathtub. Aleksandra Shalina confessed to law enforcement that she had long planned to kill the child. Moreover, she intended to take the life of her older daughter as well.
The murdered child was buried in the village of Diveyevo in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The Shalin family has been known there since 2024 — after a scandal when Aleksandra«s daughter accused her stepfather of rape. He has been in a pre-trial detention center since then.
