Ural resident detained for shooting over pizza

In Nizhny Tagil, police detained 44-year-old machinist Alexander after a shooting in the courtyard of a house on Lomonosov Street.

The man admitted that the incident was sparked by a conflict with his wife: she criticized him for spending money on pizza.
In response, Alexander took a Bulldog pistol, went outside, and opened fire.
There were no casualties as a result of the shooting.
The incident was caught on video camera.
Press secretary of the Sverdlovsk regional police department Valery Gorelykh quoted the detainee: «The owner of the Bulldog, when asked by investigators about the rationale for such an act, muttered: »Let off steam.«»
Previously, Alexander had been convicted for involvement in illegal weapons trafficking and assault on a government official.
As Colonel Gorelykh noted, last time the court gave the man a suspended sentence and a fine, and the pistol was found and seized at his mother-in-law«s residence.
