Mother kills five-year-old son in Moscow apartment, details emerge

In a Moscow apartment on Bratyevskaya Street, the body of a boy born in 2020 was found with signs of strangulation. It appears he was drowned in water, reports the capital«s prosecutor»s office. Preliminarily, the child«s mother confessed that she inflicted fatal injuries on her son.

The woman, born in 1980, will be checked for sanity. In a conversation with investigators, she said that in the morning she went to church, and then decided to kill her son so that «he would go to heaven». For this, she filled the bathtub with water, brought the boy there, put a rope (or according to other data, a belt) around his neck and strangled him until the child stopped showing signs of life. After that, she left the child«s body in the bathtub, reports the Telegram channel Baza.

A criminal case has been initiated under the article on murder of a minor (point «v» part 2 article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Investigators and criminologists are working at the scene. The investigation has been taken under control by the Nagatinskaya Interdistrict Prosecutor«s Office.
