A man who threatened a doctor in a Chelyabinsk clinic has been detained, and authorities reported on Monday that he works as a taxi driver.

The man who caused a foul-mouthed scandal in the clinic and threatened a doctor was detained by police and taken to the Investigative Committee department. This was reported on Monday, February 2, by the regional office of the Investigative Committee and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to 74.RU, the man has no prior convictions, obtained Russian citizenship three years ago, and works as a taxi driver in Chelyabinsk.

Officials conducted a search at the suspect«s residence as part of the investigation.

‘Officers from the territorial police department together with an investigator from the regional Investigative Committee have identified a 34-year-old man who committed hooliganism in the medical facility. A search was conducted at his place of residence, and the man was questioned as a suspect,’ the Investigative Committee reported.

The investigator is deciding on pressing charges and selecting a preventive measure.

The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case under the article on hooliganism with the threat of violence.

Under point ‘a’ of Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, various types of punishment are provided, from a fine of 300,000 to 500,000 rubles (approximately $3,300–$5,600 at current rates) to imprisonment for up to five years.
