The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for Chelyabinsk Region opened a criminal case on charges of hooliganism coupled with threats of violence.

The conflict erupted this week at one of the clinics in the Central District of Chelyabinsk between an on-duty doctor and a child«s father after a medical examination.

A three-minute video recording of the incident, in which the man almost continuously uses profanity, has been widely shared on Telegram channels.

On the recording, the aggressively disposed parent yells at the medic: «Come out, I»ll smash your face. Come here, bitch. I«ll kill you for my child. Go on, write a statement, you loser. I»m not afraid to go to prison, understand?«

The doctor, in between the insults, tried to calm the man down, stating: «Could you listen to me, please. I prescribed treatment for the child, it»s all written down. How and what to treat him with. I explained everything to the mother, I explained it properly.«

The Investigative Committee explained that the father, remaining dissatisfied with the prescribed treatment, began to behave aggressively and threaten the on-duty doctor, using profane language.

The criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 213 of the Russian Criminal Code (hooliganism).

The sanction under this article provides for various types of punishment, including a fine from 300,000 to 500,000 rubles (approximately $3,300 to $5,600 at current rates) or imprisonment for up to five years.
