Caucasians 'Take' BMW from Yekaterinburg Man Over Friend's Debt

The flower trader accused of orchestrating the car seizure has been detained by authorities.
In Yekaterinburg, Caucasians «took» a new BMW 525d from a local resident over his friend«s debt. The main accused, who called his friends, lives in Tyumen and drove the car there. The BMW was returned, and a criminal case for robbery was initiated against the creditor himself (clause »b« part 4 article 162 of the Criminal Code). We tell the details.
Business, Russian Style
Yekaterinburg resident Danil, together with friends Kirill and Anton, got into the car resale business, taking a percentage for themselves. Ruslan I., a flower trader, decided to invest in this business. He gave several million rubles (about $30,000 at current rates) to Anton, who passed it to Kirill to buy and resell cars. But in the end, no cars were bought for this amount, and the money disappeared.
Ruslan started pressing Anton for the debt repayment, and Anton pressed Kirill; eventually, Kirill wrote a promissory note for 2.7 million rubles (about $27,000 at current rates) for Ruslan and proposed to pay in installments. This did not satisfy Ruslan.
At the next meeting, Ruslan stated that Danil was also responsible for his friend and should hand over his new black tinted BMW as collateral for the debt repayment. Danil refused—then they started threatening him.
«We»ll Bury You in Asphalt«
About 10 more people of Caucasian appearance with facial hair joined the conversation and continued to speak with Danil in a rude manner, threatening his life and health. They spoke with an accent. They wanted him to write a fake sales contract for the BMW, listing Ruslan as the buyer. Of course, no one intended to pay under this contract.
«Danil refused. They told him: »Where we come from, they kill for this.« They said: »We«ll bury you in asphalt.» A man who called himself Khairulla got into his BMW and drove away without his consent. Later, Danil started receiving administrative fines,« a friend of the victim told E1.RU.
At first, Danil waited for his friend to repay the debt and for the car to be returned, but nothing changed over a year. The flower trader threatened to sell his BMW or dismantle it for parts if he didn«t get his money. In the end, the guy filed a police report. The car was immediately returned to him, and a criminal case was initiated against Ruslan.
The trader did not admit his guilt and stated that Danil owed him money, as he received profit from the funds that he invested in their business. And that he himself is a victim. However, the court did not appreciate this and took him into custody. A trial will begin soon.
