Yakutia leads Far East gold mining in 2025

The Jewish Autonomous Oblast recorded the smallest gold production volume.
In 2025, Yakutia mined 56.9 tons of gold, which is 2% more than in 2024. These figures made the republic the leader in the entire Far East. The gold mining data was published on the website of the regional Ministry of Industry and Geology; the ranking was compiled by a correspondent from 14.RU based on open sources.

Statistics
The main industry record-holders in Yakutia were the enterprises Polyus Aldan, Neryungri-Metallik, Seligdar, UVGK, and TZRK. Yakutia plans to achieve a mining volume of 70–75 tons of gold within the next five to ten years.
Second place in the Far Eastern Federal District ranking went to Magadan Oblast, where 55.1 tons of gold were mined in 2025, compared to 54.1 tons in 2024. As stated on the website of the region«s Ministry of Natural Resources, the leader in mining was the Tenkinsky Municipal District, where the large gold deposits Natalka, Pavlik, and Tyutezhak are being developed.
Third place is held by the Transbaikal region, but data for 2025 is not yet available. In 2024, extraction amounted to 28.7 tons of gold.
The least amount was mined in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, with the volume of mined gold estimated at approximately 60 to 80 kilograms per year. As stated on the website of the interregional association «Far East and Transbaikal,» gold has been mined in the region since the second half of the 19th century. Currently, gold-bearing deposits are being developed in the Sutara River basin in the upper reaches of the Bira River.
