The company «Baden-Baden» intends to create a new thermal complex, Verkh City, on the Bolshoi Konny Peninsula of Verkh-Isetsky Pond in Yekaterinburg. For this, the existing beach complex Cuba-Cuba will be rebuilt, a territory the company acquired back in 2022.
The owner of the company, Yevgeny Kononov, reported that the project documentation is currently at the examination stage. It is planned to complete this procedure in February and obtain a construction permit.
Kononov noted: «Currently, we are at the stage of examining project documentation. In February, we plan to exit the examination and apply for a construction permit, but we will not start building earlier than September. That is, Cuba will operate through the summer, and after the season closes, we will begin construction and installation work.»
The project involves the construction of a hotel. On the stylobate area, a thermal zone of approximately five thousand square meters with a view of the water body will be located.
On the pond«s water area, where a ship is currently located, an open-air pool with a sauna and a tanning zone will appear. A small pier for boats, motorboats, and yachts will also be arranged.
Three years have been allocated for the implementation of the entire project. The construction of the new complex is planned to be completed by the end of 2029.
Baden Family, owned by Yevgeny Kononov, manages six thermal complexes in the Urals, including in Ukus, VIZ, and Rezh.
Earlier in Yekaterinburg, the first phase of the thermal complex «Badenland», located in the rebuilt shopping center «Komsomoll», was opened. For the convenience of residents of the ZhBI district, a pedestrian bridge to the building is planned.
New thermal baths will also appear on Lake Baltym, with construction planned for 2028.
