Gazprom Paid 460 Billion Rubles in Taxes to St. Petersburg
«After the relocation of Gazprom Group companies to St. Petersburg, PIT payments to the city budget increased significantly. By 2024, this indicator grew 2.6 times compared to 2020, exceeding 31 billion rubles (about $344 million),» the organization noted.
The company relocated its headquarters to St. Petersburg in 2021. Over the past five years, over 60 billion rubles (about $667 million) were directed to the implementation of socially significant projects in the city, and over the decade from 2015 to 2025, investments exceeded 100 billion rubles (about $1.1 billion).
Among the infrastructure objects opened in 2025 are:
- an all-season open-air pool at the Flagstok space, which was visited by almost 70,000 people;
- an observation deck and exhibition zones at the Lakhta Center, which welcomed 214,000 visitors;
- the «Skating Rink at Flagstok,» where in the new season (from November 2025) 511,000 people came.
Also, Gazprom completed the construction of a water sports base with a GTO (Ready for Labour and Defence) testing center near the 300th Anniversary Park. Currently, near the Lakhta Center, the construction of the cultural-historical center «Poltava Sailboat» and the Triumphal Column in honor of the victory in the Northern War is underway, on top of which a sculpture of Peter I will be installed.
Moreover, with the company«s support, large-scale restoration projects are being implemented. At the Tsarskoye Selo museum-reserve, the palace Church of the Resurrection of Christ was restored, and the interiors of the Lyon Hall and the Zubovsky Wing were recreated. In Peterhof, the restoration of the Chinese Palace was completed. Joint projects are being carried out with the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, and the Kunstkamera. In particular, at the Hermitage in 2025, the permanent exhibition »Gallery of Peter the Great« opened.
