In Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, due to heavy snowfalls, wild animals including moose and roe deer have been frequently appearing on roads, which was captured on video. The moose were spotted on busy highways in the Lyskovo and Buturlino districts. The regional Ministry of Forestry explained that in dense forests, animals are forced to seek migration routes, sometimes venturing onto roadways. Drivers were urged to be cautious.
Moose also ventured onto patrol roads in the Kerzhensky Nature Reserve. Reserve staff note that during snowfall, movement through the forest is difficult, so animals choose more passable routes.
In the Perevozsky district, a driver observed two roe deer that jumped out of a snowdrift, ran across the road, and disappeared into another snowdrift, likely scared by the car.
