Milan the cat, who has traveled nearly all of Russia with his owner, disappeared in the center of Vladivostok just before a new move. His owner calls the feline her «main travel companion» over the last eight years and is asking for help finding him.

As the cat«s owner, Daria Murashova, reported, she found Milan on the street in Krasnoyarsk, and since then he has lived in Kaliningrad, moved several times to different regions, and recovered from COVID-19 at a country house.

«More than 10 apartments, several cities, COVID, and so much else. When he appeared, I was in my 4th year of university… As if that was a past life», the young woman writes in her Telegram channel.

According to her, the cat was unusually sociable and calm — he loved listening to music and even «singing» along with his owner.

«For all these almost 8 years, I perceived him as a part of myself. But it turns out he«s just a cat who was picked up from a dumpster and named mine. Everything dear to us can disappear at any moment, and there are no guarantees», Daria wrote.

On the night of November 29, when real winter began in Vladivostok and snow fell, Milan ran out the slightly open door of a house on Uborevicha Street in Vladivostok. Witnesses claim to have seen him near the television center. On all the posted flyers, the woman asks people to look out for a distinguishing mark: shortly before the escape, the animal had its left canine tooth removed.

The owner notes that she faces another move in January, so she «can»t find a place for herself.« The search continues, with notices posted in neighborhood chats and on local platforms.

While Milan searches for his way home, puppies from the breeding kennel of the service dog breeding unit of penitentiary colony IK-41 of the GUFSIN (the regional branch of the Federal Penitentiary Service) for Primorsky Krai are beginning their journey into service. Five German Shepherd puppies have set off on their first «business trip» — to the Transbaikal region.

Zhigan, Zhandarm, Zheskar, Zhastina, and Zhadi, having grown and become stronger under the care of Primorye dog handlers, left their home enclosures the day before. The four-month-old newcomers are already familiar with the basics of discipline — they have undergone initial training, learned to listen to humans, and calmly react to new conditions. Now they face a serious path: mandatory quarantine, adaptation, and a long course of professional training.

Ahead for the furry recruits is searching for people, guarding facilities, meeting kennel club standards, and their first independent work. Specialists are confident that each of them will find their calling.
