Rugby player Darya Noritsina returns to 'Titans' and makes top three

A new season of the show «Titans» (16+) has launched on the TNT channel. This time, the best of the best are fighting for victory — those who stood out brightly in the first three seasons. Among them is Perm native Darya Noritsina.

Darya Noritsina is a Honored Master of Sports of Russia in rugby sevens (a variant of rugby with seven players per team on the field), a five-time European champion in rugby sevens, a Russian Cup winner, a bronze medalist at the Napoli Universiade and the World Rugby Sevens Series, and an Olympic participant.

«My participation in the third season ended for me rather quickly because I made a number of mistakes, didn»t believe in myself and my strength, and left the TV project on the third episode,« Darya said before the launch of »Battle of the Seasons«. »Here I will try to show what I«m capable of, because there»s an aftertaste of incompleteness, as if I didn«t show what I can do and what rugby is.»

Who made it into «Titans: Battle of the Seasons» was determined with the help of a neural network: it analyzed all seasons of the show and formed three high-efficiency teams. Each has 37 people, and all have already confirmed they are the strongest and most resilient. Darya Noritsina joined the team from the third season. The name of the winner and recipient of 10 million rubles will be known in 14 weeks.

In the first episode, which has already aired on TNT, participants had to pass the «Endless Pull» trial. The goal was to perform as many repetitions as possible of lifting a weight to the height of one«s own body. Men lifted 30% of their weight, and women 25%, constantly accelerating.

12 athletes who showed the worst results left the show. This did not affect the Perm athlete: with 501 repetitions, she entered the top three among the girls in her team.

«There are a huge number of Olympic champions, pumped-up guys standing around you, and everyone is waving their shirts and cheering you on. I think I»m in paradise,« commented Darya Noritsina.

The next episode will air on TNT on Sunday at 9:00 PM.
