Third Stage of Novosibirsk Eastern Bypass to Cost Over 20 Billion Rubles

Experts have approved the project for the third stage of the Eastern Bypass of Novosibirsk, estimated at more than 20 billion rubles (about $222 million at current rates). The 14.3-km section will include a bow-shaped interchange and noise barriers.

The third stage of the Eastern Bypass of Novosibirsk will cost more than 20 billion rubles. This was reported by NGS.RU in the press service of FKU «Sibupravtodor» (Federal State Institution «Siberian Directorate for Highways»), the construction client.
A bow-shaped interchange will be built at the 46th kilometer of the new 14.3-km highway section.

The cost of implementing the third stage of the Eastern Bypass is estimated at 20,741,620,000 rubles (about $230.5 million at current rates). The project documentation has received a positive conclusion from Russia«s Glavgosexpertiza (Main State Expert Review).
The highway will have four traffic lanes, a divider for opposing flows, and noise barriers to protect nearby garden societies.

The total length of the section will be 14.3 km (from the 34th to the 49th kilometer), and the road will run within the boundaries of the Novosibirsk and Iskitim districts. It will be equipped with four traffic lanes and a divider for opposing traffic flows. At the 46th kilometer, there will be a bow-shaped interchange, and the project also includes four overpasses at intersections with local roads and two rest areas for drivers.
Garden societies will be shielded from the road by noise barriers. In addition, the section will have an automatic weather support station with a photo and video recording camera.
«Competitive procedures to determine the contractor will be carried out after federal funding is allocated, and only then will it be possible to talk about the start date of work,» NGS.RU was told by the press service of FKU «Sibupravtodor.»
Construction and installation work will begin in 2026.
Currently, construction of the first stage of the Eastern Bypass continues. In 2025, all major work on the facility was completed by October. The main event was the opening of a 12.4 km section from K19-r to the interchange near the village of Novolugovoye.
