Vasily Staroshchuk Street in the Oktyabrsky District has been reopened to traffic. This was reported by the Novosibirsk city administration.

The passage near the abandoned building was closed on January 24 due to a threat of collapse. The restrictions were lifted on the night of January 29 by decision of the commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the city of Novosibirsk.

«During the inspection, it was established: no threat of building collapse was identified, the load-bearing structures are without defects. There are overhanging roof structures on the facade side that require attention,» the city administration reported.

The Oktyabrsky District administration was instructed to fence off the dangerous section, and also, together with the MBU «City Center for Traffic Organization,» to install warning road signs.

Drivers are asked to observe the speed limit on the section and be attentive.

On January 27, NGS reported that residents of the Military Town found it difficult to leave the neighborhood by minibus due to the closed road.
