Crash Closes Chelyabinsk-Yekaterinburg Highway; Detour Through Aramil

On Thursday morning, January 29, two trucks collided on the M-5 highway in Sverdlovsk Oblast, closing traffic towards Yekaterinburg. The accident occurred under a bridge leading to the village of Patrushi (Sysertsky District), according to our colleagues at E1.RU.

‘The M-5 highway is completely closed towards Yekaterinburg. The trucks’ tanks are punctured, all the diesel is on the road, this will take a long time,’ witnesses warned.
As of 10:30, the length of the traffic jam is about 5.5 kilometers. It is advisable to detour through Aramil.

Updated at 11:30. ‘A temporary route through the village of Patrushi was organized to bypass the section. At the moment, traffic has been fully restored,’ the Sverdlovsk State Traffic Inspectorate noted.
