Russian Air Defense Downs Over 20 Drones in Four Regions

On the night of Saturday, January 31, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 26 aircraft-type UAVs over four Russian territories. The Bryansk region was hit the hardest, with 17 drones shot down there. Another seven unmanned aerial vehicles were eliminated over the Smolensk region and one each over the Belgorod region and Crimea.

In the Voronezh region, the operational situation is calm at the time of publication. However, the day before, on January 30, a missile danger alert was declared throughout the region and sirens were activated. People were evacuated within a radius of 500 meters (about 1,640 feet) from the location of the explosive item. Four streets partially and three completely fell into this zone, as well as five garden non-commercial partnerships (SNT). In addition, traffic and pedestrian movement were restricted on sections of five streets.
