Life Story of the Supercentenarian
Klavdia Gadyuchkina was born in the village of Norskoye on the outskirts of Yaroslavl. She left school in the third grade to help her family after her mother«s death. At age 15, she started working at the »Krasny Pereval« factory. The work was physically demanding. She recalls those years as the most difficult and exhausting period of her life.
“Take care of your health. I lost mine at the factory. Noise, dust, heat! They started intensifying the work. First, we tended to one machine, then they put us on two machines. And everything was pushed onto me, everything was shoved into me. I lost my health,” Klavdia Mikhailovna previously said.
Despite the challenging working conditions, the supercentenarian worked at the factory for 52 years. She started as a spinner and later became an assistant workshop foreman.
At age 19, Klavdia Mikhailovna got married. Sergei Petrovich was a hardworking man, served in the navy, and after returning from a voyage, he fell in love with the Yaroslavl woman and won her affection. In their marriage, they had three children: two sons and a daughter.
One of the main achievements of her life, Klavdia Gadyuchkina previously noted, was her large and close-knit family. The supercentenarian has six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In her lifetime, she has seen four generations.

Klavdia Gadyuchkina resides with her granddaughter Olga in Yaroslavl, where she has lived for several years.
Her husband died in 1956. There was an accident at the «Norskaya Sloboda» factory where he worked. Klavdia Mikhailovna never remarried.
The supercentenarian did not like her age. She considered her attitude towards life as the secret to longevity.
At the same time, she previously noted that she is very sad because she has lost all her friends and the people she grew up with. Inside, the supercentenarian feels a deep sorrow: “I am alone now, everyone has gone, and I remain.”
