A letter with words of sorrow was sent to the theater from Ivanovo — the city where Vladimir Korennoy lived and worked in the 1980s.

Vladimir Lukich Korennoy was born on May 20, 1949, in the town of Zaigrayevo (Republic of Buryatia). In 1972, he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Theater School with a degree in «drama theater actor.» He began his professional career at the Sverdlovsk Theater for Young Audiences, then worked at drama theaters in Omsk, Kemerovo, and Ivanovo.

In 1988, at the invitation of Gleb Drozdov, a People«s Artist of Russia, he moved to Tolyatti and became an actor in the experimental drama theater »Koleso« (The Wheel). From March 2005, he was the director and subsequently the artistic director of the Tolyatti Youth Drama Theatre. Over half a century of theatrical activity, he created more than 80 roles and was actively involved in the cultural life of the region. The title of »Honored Artist of the Samara Region« was conferred upon Vladimir Korennoy in 2014.
