The proposal was put forward by Alexey Nehayev, leader of the New People political party. He expressed the view that the population is tired of numerous restrictive measures.

«If tomorrow some deputy proposes introducing a »tax on tax,« people won»t even be surprised. What would be truly surprising is if we get through the session without a single law that makes life harder. And if we don«t block a single social network. People would definitely appreciate that,» he stated.

Data from recent sociological studies confirm an increase in the number of Russians experiencing uncertainty about the future. It is noted that frequent changes in legislation complicate long-term planning. Respondents cite personal, professional, and financial spheres, as well as the news background, as the main sources of stress. According to the study, stress has become a common occurrence for the majority of citizens, with every fifth person facing it constantly.

«People who had faith in the future and confidence in tomorrow were not afraid to act. They put Russia into space and created the world»s first fast neutron reactor. They invented «Gosuslugi» (the Russian public services portal) and, in the midst of sanctions, made it possible to pay with a smile. And from such news, smiles on faces really do increase,« the speaker emphasized.

The initiative suggests that elected representatives focus during the session on measures that simplify citizens« lives, rather than on introducing additional restrictions. How the parliamentary majority will respond to this call will become clear from the agenda of the upcoming meetings of the Duma committees.
