How Much Did Sergey Galitsky Spend on New Year Decorations in Krasnodar Park?
A year ago, an engineer-estimator and blogger from Krasnodar, Roman Santulshaev, published a video on his social media where he calculated the approximate cost of the illumination by Sergey Galitsky on Alexandrovsky Boulevard. The total price of the decorations was over 228 million rubles (approximately 2.5 million USD at current rates).
This year, the cost of decor on Krasnaya Street remained at the same level. The materials, according to Santulshaev, were the same—they were reinstalled. No new light structures were added.
In January 2026, 93.RU approached the estimator with a similar request: to calculate the cost of New Year decor in Krasnodar Park. Santulshaev shared the results of his research in his Telegram channel.
To make the calculations, the engineer-estimator used the amount spent on decorations for Alexandrovsky Boulevard as a basis. With it, he estimated the approximate cost of illumination for Krasnodar Park.
The engineer-estimator calculated the cost of New Year decorations in Galitsky«s park using two methods. First, he divided the known 228 million rubles by the area of the decorated Krasnaya Street, obtained the price per hectare, and multiplied by the area of the park. Then the expert broke down the elements into types—arches, garlands, figures, facade lighting—and estimated their quantity from photos and videos. The result—the approximate cost of decor in the park.
The two calculation methods gave different results. Therefore, the total cost became an averaged figure. According to the estimator, the decorations in Krasnodar Park this season cost about 946 million rubles (approximately 10.5 million USD at current rates).
