The One on Sale. Muscovites Name the Best Coffee Brand: A Top Three

Mornings in Moscow begin in different ways. Some hastily drink a cup of instant coffee before leaving home, while others turn making a drink in a coffee machine into a whole meditative ritual. But one question unites everyone: which packet or jar to buy so as not to make a mistake with the choice?
We decided to ask the city residents themselves and conducted a large survey in our section «People«s Rating». We asked which coffee brand Muscovites buy most often, consider the tastiest or the most cost-effective. Readers named their options, and from the most frequently repeated we made a survey.
In the survey on the Telegram channel, 2,495 residents of the capital took part.
The most popular option was Jacobs Monarch. This coffee brand received 576 votes and took first place. The time-tested classic holds the palm of victory. Many appreciate it for its stable, familiar taste and good price-quality ratio. For millions, this is the very coffee whose aroma is associated with morning.
Second place went to Nescafe. This brand received 408 votes from Muscovites. Its popularity is maintained by a wide product line: here is instant coffee for a quick breakfast, capsules for machines, and ground coffee for those who like to experiment with brewing.
The honorable third place was taken by BUSHIDO with 352 votes. This Dutch brand with a Japanese name has gathered a real army of fans in recent years. It is often chosen by those who want something more than just a standard taste. In the comments, opinions were divided: some admired its rich and bright taste, despite the high price, while others felt it did not justify its cost.
Of course, these are far from all the heroes of the coffee market. In the comments, readers enthusiastically mentioned Turkish ground coffee Mehmet Efendi, the Russian craft brand Tasty Coffee, or «Moscow Coffee Company on Shares». These brands also have their devoted connoisseur.
Among those not included in the survey, but also beloved, readers noted Lavazza («Lavazza»).
Some participants admitted that due to rising costs they began to buy coffee less often or switched to more budget options.
«I buy the one on sale», — wrote a female resident of the capital.
And someone, on the contrary, believes that one should not save on coffee and is ready to pay for a quality product.
«The main thing is the freshness of the coffee itself, the roast and the grind. And not all these brands from supermarkets», — answers Muscovite Alena.
So what is the result? The time-tested mass-market classic leads. But for those looking for unusual brands, it is definitely worth looking into the comments under this survey in the Telegram channel (we promise, you will find a manufacturer to your liking):
By the way, the results of the survey on the website differ from the results on Telegram. Here first place went to BUSHIDO, second — to Jacobs Monarch, and third — to «Moscow Coffee Company on Shares».
