In the coming days, audiences are invited to the premiere of Roman Mikhailov«s philosophical fairy tale »The Morning Forerunner« on the stage of the Bolshoi Drama Theatre (BDT). The hero, who comes to the railway station every day, undergoes an inner transformation after a chance encounter. The performance, filled with light and warmth, will be shown on 23 and 24 January.

The «Osobnyak» (Mansion) Theater will present a chamber version of «Macbeth». In the production «Macbeth: A Fool»s Tale«, the focus is on the inner world of the characters after the crimes they have committed. Only two actors will be on stage at the same time. Shows are also scheduled for 23 and 24 January.

At the «Rosfoto» museum, the exhibition «Life of Things», dedicated to photo still life, is open until 22 March. The exposition presents experiments by such authors as Alexander Slyusarev, who created «portraits of things», and Boris Smelov, who captured the passage of time.

Renaissance art remains a significant cultural reference point.

The Blok Museum-Apartment invites visitors to the photo exhibition by Vitaly Smirnov «Kolomna Island», where the city is shown as a stone witness of history. Free admission to the exhibition by Katya Kosova «A Lovely Place» at the «Okhta-8» library, where real landscapes of St. Petersburg, the Moscow region, and Italy are complemented with fairy-tale elements.

In the «Learn Something New» section, the Botanical Garden is holding a «Patriotic Walk» (24–25 January), dedicated to plants that survived the Siege of Leningrad. On Saturday, 24 January, at «Okhta-8» there will be lectures on female archetypes in ancient myths and on the role of lichens in space exploration. At New Holland Island, they will discuss the phenomenon of Soviet children«s records.
