Raisa Ryazanova, Tosya from 'Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears', Turns 81
Raisa Ryazanova«s life struggles are detailed in a video marking her 81st birthday.
Today, Raisa Ryazanova turned 81 years old. For millions of viewers, she will always remain the modest and kind Tosya from «Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears». But the actress herself was never like her character. Her life turned out differently, full of heavy losses and trials.
After a brilliant start in cinema and a role in a film that won an Oscar, she faced a difficult decision — to leave her husband, Yuri Perov, whom many girls dreamed of. She raised her son Danila alone. In the nineties, when there was no work, Ryazanova herself got behind the wheel of a taxi to earn a living.
The most terrible blow was the sudden death of her son in 2020. He died at the age of 51 from a blood clot. The actress is still grieving this loss.
And in December 2024, she faced a new heavy ordeal. Fraudsters, posing as FSB employees, convinced her that the money in her accounts was in danger. On their instructions, she withdrew all her savings — 4 million rubles (approximately $40,000 at current rates) — and gave it in cash to a courier who said the code word. Later, it turned out to be a deception. The actress herself blames only herself for what happened, calling it her own stupidity. The court sentenced the perpetrator-courier to a prison term, but the accomplices remain at large, and the money could not be recovered.
Despite everything, Raisa Ryazanova finds strength in work. She continues to act in films and perform in plays. For more about the actress«s fate, watch the video above.
