Two Omsk vodka brands top Russian award rankings

Vodka from the Omsk region has been ranked among the top brands in a national expert competition.
Vodka from the Omsk-based producer Alcohol Siberian Group (ASG) has made it to the top of the country«s main expert award, »Drink of the Year«. Experts from the guild »Alkopro« determined the best strong alcoholic drinks of Russian production for 2025.
Thus, the vodka «Pyat Ozer» (Five Lakes) was named one of the most innovative in Russia — it took 6th place in this category. Experts appreciated its technological breakthrough. In the category «Identity. Russian Code», the vodka «Belaya Berezka» (White Birch) took 8th place. The drink was praised for its authentic «Siberian» character and national identity.
The award was held for the first time. A total of 99 drinks from across the country participated in the competition. The experts are leading tasters and technologists.
Alcohol Siberian Group was formed in 1993 on the basis of the Omsk liquor and vodka plant «Omskvinprom». Initially, it was engaged in the wholesale sale of Crimean wine, and then began vodka production («Belaya Berezka», «Husky», and «Pyat Ozer»).
According to «Kontur Focus», until the end of 2022, the owners of ASG were two Cypriot companies, then 100% transferred to the wife of founder Andrei Strelts Larisa, and at the end of 2023, the owner of 99% became the Emirati Boreal Spirits. Revenue at the end of 2024 amounted to 56.2 billion rubles (approximately $624 million at current rates).
In May last year, NGS55.RU reported that ASG entered a new rating of the largest alcohol producers for 2024 and took third place. The list was prepared by Forbes magazine.
