Owners Name Reasons for Golden Bus Station Delays
The company «Obshchestvo Malysheva, 73» (Malysheva, 73 Society), which owns the under-construction Golden bus station and shopping center, has explained the reasons for the prolonged construction of the facility.
Representatives stated that work is proceeding according to plan: «Key stages of the schedule are being met. Work on preparing and handing over spaces to key anchor tenants is being actively carried out,» the company said. «At the same time, we, like all market participants, face systemic challenges characteristic of implementing large projects under current conditions.»
Among the main difficulties affecting the construction, the company highlighted:
- a shortage of qualified labor;
- logistical complexities with equipment, requiring the formation of new supply chains and leading to long queues at manufacturers, both Russian and import.
«These factors require flexible management from the project team and the creation of additional time buffers, but they are accounted for in planning and do not affect the approved date for putting the facility into operation,» emphasized Obshchestvo Malysheva, 73.
The shopping center is planned to be launched in full, but tenants will open their outlets in stages. Key tenants that will ensure the main flow of visitors have already been identified.
They will include:
- the amusement park Maza Park with a modern 9-screen cinema equipped with LED screens;
- the hypermarket «Giperbola»;
- a central gastronomic hub on the second floor, organized on the principle of a food mall. It will house popular federal chains such as KFC and «Rostiks», as well as local gastronomic projects. Around the hub will be a restaurant zone.
The commissioning of the Golden is scheduled for the end of 2026. This is not the first delay: initially, completion of work was planned for 2023, then the deadline was shifted to the end of 2025 with opening in March 2026.
