Eyewitnesses report the closure of Bolshoochtinsky Bridge. «Bolshoochtinsky Bridge began to be closed on the route from Smolny,» wrote one of them in the Telegram channel «Megapolis». Similar information comes from drivers in «Yandex Conversations». According to users, a traffic controller at the bridge entrance allows traffic only from Tulskaya Street, creating a jam on Sinopskaya Embankment.
According to the service «Yandex Traffic», traffic difficulties are recorded on both Tulskaya and Sinopskaya streets. Also, a dense jam has formed on Sverdlovskaya Embankment in the direction of Piskarevsky Prospekt, on Piskarevsky Prospekt itself, and on Revolyutsii Highway. The highest load—10 points instead of the usual 5—is observed on Piskarevsky Prospekt towards the city center.
Overall in St. Petersburg, the level of car traffic jams at this time corresponds to the usual value and is estimated at 4 points.
We remind you that the traffic restrictions are related to events taking place in the city dedicated to the Day of the Complete Lifting of the Siege of Leningrad. On the previous day, January 26, streets in the center of St. Petersburg were also repeatedly closed, primarily in the Admiralteystvo district. City authorities had previously warned drivers about possible restrictions on Marata Street, the Ring Road (KAD), and Murmanskoye Highway.
