Authorities in Yakutia will allocate 11.6 million rubles (approximately $116,000 at current rates) from the republican budget for the Ysyakh Olonkho (a Yakut cultural festival), which will be held in the Kobyaysky District in 2026, according to the republic«s budget for 2026.

No data is available for 2025. In 2025, Ysyakh Olonkho was held in the Neryungrinsky District, after which several dozen people fell ill with salmonellosis; we wrote about it here.

Ysyakh Olonkho was attended by over 25,000 people, while Ysyakh Tuymaady (another major Yakut festival) attracted nearly 210,000.

For the Ysyakh Tuymaady festival in Yakutsk at the Us-Khatyn site and for the maintenance of the entire complex, 9.6 million rubles (approximately $96,000 at current rates) will be allocated. This amount will cover expenses for organizing the festival, advertising, and other costs. The funds will come from the city budget.
