Ukraine to Sign US Security Document; Zelenskyy Firm on Territories

The document on security guarantees for Ukraine is 100% ready. Kyiv is waiting for a signal from the US regarding the date and place of signing, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, according to RBK-Ukraine.
«The document is 100% ready. We are waiting for our partners to be ready to provide a place where we will sign it. And then the document will undergo ratification in the US Congress and the Ukrainian parliament, according to our agreements,» Zelenskyy said.
He also noted that there are many problematic issues in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and Kyiv «under no circumstances» will give up its territorial claims.
Zelenskyy emphasized that his position on the territorial issue is unchanged, and all three sides of the negotiations need to make compromises — including the US.
«There were many problematic issues, but they are becoming fewer,» Zelenskyy added.
In Abu Dhabi on January 23–24, trilateral consultations on settling the Ukrainian conflict took place. Representatives from Russia, the US, and Ukraine were present. The meetings were held in a maximally closed format without press presence. Presumably, the central points of the agenda were discussions on the terms of a potential peaceful settlement, including security issues and territorial disputes. The events in the UAE were preceded by meetings between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Special Envoy Stephen Whitcoff, as well as a dialogue between US leader Donald Trump and Ukrainian head Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The next round of negotiations between Russia, the US, and Ukraine will take place on February 1 in Abu Dhabi, Axios and Reuters reported.
